Global Challenges Foundation: Global Challenges Prize

The Global Challenges Foundation aims to incite deeper understanding of the most pressing global risks to humanity and to catalyze new ways of tackling them. The Foundation's Global Challenges Prize 2017: A New Shape is a competition that seeks to find new models of global cooperation capable of handling global risks.

The aim of the Prize is to find models or frameworks for international cooperation capable of addressing the interlinked risks and problems of climate change, other large-scale environmental damage, violent conflict (including nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction), extreme poverty, and expected continuing rapid population growth. Five million dollars in prizes will be awarded for the best ideas that re-envision global governance for the 21st century.

The competition is open to anyone, including individuals, groups of individuals, universities, companies, or associations, anywhere in the world.

Participants must register by March 31, 2017. Entries may be submitted in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, or French from April 1 through September 30, 2017.
