The Michigan Festivals & Events Association Parties On with GrantStation

November 27, 2009 –The Michigan Festivals & Events Association, in partnership with GrantStation.com Inc., will now join over 180 other organizations throughout the U.S. that deliver the GrantStation Insider to their constituents.

"The GrantStation Insider is a weekly e-newsletter that reaches over 225,000 subscribers with its focus on upcoming grant deadline announcements, and we are happy to welcome the Michigan Festivals & Events Association to our fold," said Cynthia M. Adams, President and CEO of GrantStation. "Access to upcoming grant deadlines should help identify new funders for the hundreds of community events that Michigan Festival support each year," said Ms. Adams.

One of the reasons why the MFEA partnered with GrantStation is to bring added value to their members. According to Sue Bila, the Executive Director of the Michigan Festivals & Events Association, the goal of this partnership was to enable their members to receive grant leads. “We are hoping the reaction will be very positive and that the Insider will assist our members and allow them to move forward, successfully, in their event planning.”

"We just held our 17th Annual MFEA Convention in Traverse City and it was truly a success," said Ms. Bila.  "By introducing the weekly GrantStation Insider, we hope to keep the momentum of our conference moving forward providing resources to implement the numerous ideas and plans that were planted at our conference."

Ms. Adams said, "This partnership will allow us to provide grant information and grant leads to the organizations affiliated with the Michigan Festivals & Events Association. Having a community-sized party planning association as a partner is a definite boon to organizations seeking guidance when hosting their own major event. Having current grant information available and delivered to your e-mail every Monday will help make funding that event not only easier, but hopefully even bigger!"
