EarthCorps and Youth Service America Offer International Grants Information to their Members
August 10, 2009 – EarthCorps and Youth Service America, in partnership with GrantStation, will now distribute a monthly e-newsletter that focuses on upcoming charitable giving programs and U.S. Federal agency grant deadlines for organizations working internationally.
EarthCorps' mission is to build global community through local environmental service. According to Mark Howard, Senior International Program Officer, "EarthCorps envisions a global community of young environmental leaders and engaged citizens working to build strong local communities that support healthy habitats. EarthCorps' programs bring together young people from the USA and around the world to work, learn and grow. This new monthly e-newsletter will provide these volunteers with some of the information needed to do their good work."
Youth Service America (YSA) seeks to improve communities by increasing the number and diversity of young people, ages 5 to 25, serving in important roles. Founded in 1986, YSA is an international nonprofit resource center that partners with thousands of organizations in more than 100 countries to expand the impact of the youth service movement with families, communities, schools, corporations, and governments.
"EarthCorps and Youth Service America are joining six other organizations based in the U.S. to deliver the GrantStation International Insider to their constituents," said Cynthia Adams, President and CEO of GrantStation. The GrantStation International Insider is now distributed to approximately 8,000 NGOs throughout the world each month.
