Membership Benefits

Membership to GrantStation provides complete access to four unique areas: SEARCH, WRITE, LEARN, and READ.

Search

In the SEARCH area, GrantStation offers Members access to all of our grantmaker research tools:

  • U.S. Grants – Our U.S. Grant listings include three areas:

    • U.S. Charitable Giving Database – The U.S. Charitable Giving database lists thousands of funder profiles, including independent, family, community, and corporate foundations; corporate giving programs; faith-based grantmakers; and associations with grantmaking programs. These profiles are searchable by geographic focus, areas of interest, and types of support. Learn more about how we develop funder profiles for the database.

    • Federal Grants & Loans – The Federal Grants & Loans section provides access to profiles of competitive financial assistance programs administered by U.S. Federal agencies.  Archived announcements are also available.  These profiles are word searchable and categorized by deadline date.

    • State Grants & Loans – The State Grants & Loans section, which provides an individual profile for each state, is comprised of links to state and local governmental financial and/or technical assistance providers.  This section also links to quasi-state agencies such as the state arts council, humanities forum, children's trust, etc.

  • International Grants – Our International Grant listings include two areas:

    • International Charitable Giving Database – The International Charitable Giving database lists several thousand international grantmaker profiles, searchable by geographic location and areas of interest.

    • International Federal Programs – The International Federal Programs section lists information on U.S. government grant programs providing support throughout the world.

  • Canadian Grants – Our Canadian Grant listings include two areas:

    • Canadian Charitable Giving Database – The Canadian Charitable Giving database provides access to profiles of private grantmakers who give throughout Canada and within particular provinces and territories.  The top 1,000 Canadian grantmakers are covered in this database and additional grantmakers based in Canada and other countries are being added weekly.
    • Canadian Government Grants & Loans – The Canadian Government Grants & Loans section provides information regarding potential governmental sources of financial and technical assistance.

Write

In the WRITE area, GrantStation offers a set of practical tutorials to assist grantseekers in developing a solid base for their grantseeking programs, and in crafting compelling documents designed to garner the attention of grantmakers. Included in this section are step-by-step guides on how to get started in the grantseeking process, write a letter of inquiry, develop a full proposal, and revise and edit past proposals.

Learn

In the LEARN area, GrantStation offers a number of resources to bolster grantseeking strategies and the management of grant awards, including how to document in-kind contributions.

Included in this area is the first of the Vision2020 tools, Grants2020, an interactive visioning tool to help you realize the grants potential for your organization.  Using a copy of your operating budget and a breakdown of grant awards (amount and source); you can determine the state of your current grants program, as well as determine your organizations grants potential.  In addition to the visual depiction of your current grant sources, you also receive custom analysis and recommendations on how to grow your grants program.

Read

In the READ area, GrantStation publishes three newsletters:

  • The Insider is published weekly (48 issues a year) and focuses on opportunities for U.S. nonprofit organizations.
  • The International Insider is published monthly (11 issues per year) and focuses on international funding opportunities.
  • The Candian Insider is published monthly (11 times per year) and focuses on funding opportunities for Canadian organizations.

All three newsletters hold to the highest standards of research and writing and provide readers with a variety of excellent private and government grant announcements. In the Member's area all three newsletters are sorted by date and can be searched by month, quarter or keyword.

Also in the READ area, you can find an archive of past articles that originally ran as part of our Tracks to Success series. Tracks to Success covers a wide variety of issues and viewpoints related to developing healthy grantseeking programs and a strong overall fundraising strategy.
