The mission of the Sundance Family Foundation is to support and strengthen family stability worldwide.

The Foundation's grant programs include:

International Program
The Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations based in the United States that support family stability in Russia, Latin America, or Africa. The Foundation is most interested in programs that create systemic change, sustainable improvement, and/or social entrepreneurship.

The Foundation provides support for programs directed toward empowering families in one or preferably more of the following areas:

  • economic stability – especially microfinance programs;
  • mental health, wellness, and addiction;
  • housing;
  • education; and,
  • family and community health.

Youth Social Entrepreneurship Program
The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in the Minnesota and Wisconsin counties of Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, Chisago, Polk and St. Croix that help youth through social entrepreneurial programs and entrepreneurial training programs.

The focus is on programs that incorporate a social value mission with practical methods for entrepreneurial innovation, skill development, accountability, and sustainable funding. The goal of the Foundation in these areas is to support mentorship and leadership to help youth succeed academically, economically, and personally.

Grants are not made to/for:

  • individuals;
  • scholarships or fellowships;
  • endowments;
  • capital support for international projects that make up more than one-half of the project budget; or,
  • general operating support (except by invitation).

Note: The granting areas of Human Services and Supportive Housing are under evaluation and only invited proposals will be considered in 2009.
