Description: This program provides support to library outreach projects focused on Louisa May Alcott, her body of work, and her era. Selected libraries will present five established reading, viewing, and discussion programs in order to re-introduce audiences to Alcott through a story full of fresh insights, startling discoveries about the author, and a new understanding of American culture during her lifetime. Although the required programs do not focus on Little Women and other well-known Alcott works, libraries may also present programs about these works, in addition to the required programs.
